Buddy Friendship Feature

Danny and Bryan met at our First Friday Art Walk Meet-Up and hit it off. When each was approached about the possibility of being matched with the other, they were all smiles and pure excitement.
Best Buddies Nevada matched Bryan and Danny in April 2009. Since their match, they have spent nearly every weekend together, going to movies or having a bite to eat.
Danny said that he's not sure he has ever made a friend so fast. So, what does he love about his new found friend? He says he loves his buddy because, “He is so open and friendly; I just want everyone to meet him...sometimes I wish I could live my life like Bryan. He has nothing but good things to say and a laughter to offer. He always tells me how much fun he is having, and he truly just enjoys the company of others...Bryan is far and away the most sure of himself person I've ever met. It really is a treat to be his friend, and I am thankful for our match.”
Bryan joined the program in February and was patiently waiting for his Buddy. He called the office several times to check our progress. As soon as he found out that he was being matched with Danny, he was ecstatic. The Program Manager was presenting at a People First chapter meeting and Bryan came in with his mom. He walked right up to her and gave her a hug and thanked her for his Buddy! His favorite thing about Danny is that “He's my Buddy...and he helps me to meet new people.”
